Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"This coffee shop is a few metres away from the popular Macalister Road coffee shop. They have air-con seatings inside as well as the non-a/c tables. Very crowded at night with stalls that sell bbq chicken wings, nonya style bbq seafood, Penang Hokkien mee, char hor fun, fried oyster omelette and much more! There is even a durian stall! If you want to eat authentic Penang food, try this place. I took picture of my food only after I finished eating. Too hungry and the food I ordered tasted very good"
"Came here for some seafood, specifically for some fresh fish. Looked around other restaurants and decided on this place because of the clams and the pomfret. The front section of the restaurant where the food vendors are has simple seating and the rear section has better seating. We ordered our food and sat down, ordered some drinks. The clams and the fish arrived shortly after. The food was very tasty, I loved the fish. The fish was grilled on a banana leaf so the fish was soft and so flaky, and not charred. The sambal was very tasty and complimented the fish. Enjoyed the meal. The clams were also very tasty. The prices were reasonable."
"The food overall is great. The curry mee was delicious, and the economy rice is only available in the afternoon but tastes good. The prices are moderate and not too expensive or too cheap. The environment is pleasant, and the drinks are also good."
"It’s a pleasure to be able to eat Penang street food without the usual sweating-it-out because it has an air-conditioned section as well as a non-aircond section. Its prices are slightly higher than the usual Penang food court but I don’t mind because the ambience is better. It’s clean and well organised. The toilet is clean. It has quite a variety of street food. I highly recommend the Penang white curry noodles here. Also good are the char kuey teow and the lor bak. Take note that these street food are available only from dinner time until 2 am."
"Great spot for supper along Macalister Road! The place is bright and welcoming, with walls beautifully decorated featuring Bruce Lee, Kung Fu Panda, and scenic views of Penang—such a fun and nostalgic touch. A cozy hangout spot whether you’re grabbing a late meal or just chilling with friends. Definitely worth checking out!"
"This is a famous No.5 Char Koay Teow stall that moved here recently. CKT with prawn mantis is a must try with strong wok hei, it is only RM16. Normal plate without will only be RM9. Although the place closes at 2am, be here before 1am to ensure you get your CKT. The Hor Fun did not meet my expectation, probably Hokkien Char will be better. Environment is clean, pleasant and with the comfort of aircond."
"I was out looking for a new place to eat lunch and stumbled upon this gem. Their selection of food is vast and very reasonably priced. Their food I chose was very delicious and also got a milk tea. They have plenty of seating here and lots of drinks to choose from. TVs and fans are in the dining room. The place looked clean and the staff were friendly. They close at 4pm. Highly recommended"
"This is a slightly unique mixed use food hub. You get the usual hawker stalks but it’s anchored by a large cooked food section. Seating is plentiful and comfortable. A good place for lunch"
